Every car sold by Matt Johnson Prestige goes through the following rigorous process.

This is our promise to you…

Pre-delivery inspection and servicing

You can rest assured every car that leaves our site has been through a thorough inspection by our time-served technician.

From our purpose-built workshop vehicles are given the seal of approval for onward carriage once we are satisfied they meet our high standards.

If a car requires an MOT within three months of its being delivered, we use our trusted partners to have the car tested and any remedial work carried out so it leaves with a 12-month certificate.

And if a car requires a service, we will make sure it is done, either on-site or at a main dealer.

Everything is geared towards you receiving your new vehicle in perfect mechanical order. If something does go wrong within your warranty period, we’ve got you covered.

Detailing and valet services

Every car is given a thorough interior valet before leaving for its new home - and while we can’t necessarily guarantee that new car smell, we can certainly assure you that new car will arrive looking and smelling fresh!

Our talented detailer will also give the car’s paintwork, wheels and exterior his undivided attention as he strives to ensure you are the envy of your neighbours when your new car is parked outside your home.

We use only the best industry equipment and products to ensure a professional finish that we - and you - can be proud of.

Enjoy a luxury overnight stay

Buying a car should be an experience to remember - and we aim to deliver just that when you collect your new vehicle.

All clients travelling to our showroom for the handover process qualify for a complimentary stay at the exclusive Abbey House Hotel.

You can be assured of a warm welcome when you arrive on site at MJP - and of course, the kettle is always on!

Once you have the keys to your new car, we invite you to enjoy the comfort and luxury of the Abbey House Hotel, whilst exploring the beauty of South Cumbria and the Lake District.

After Sales Care

We’re all about building relationships for life with our customers - and once your new car is delivered, we’re delighted to welcome you into the Matt Johnson Prestige family.

Many of the vehicles we retail are still covered by the manufacturer’s warranty and you, therefore, benefit from the guarantee of main dealer support.

For vehicles that are no longer covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, we offer a three-month MJP warranty, so if anything goes wrong, we’re by your side.

We also have a close working partnership with the CarCare Plan and are able to offer a range of extended warranties at competitive prices to give you further peace of mind.
